Today we released the official thePrintLabs digital magazine for the iPad on the AppStore™

The process of developing an iPad magazine able to innovate the digital publishing frame wasn’t an easy one, and everything was made possible by hard work, months and months of research and testing and a clear vision of how the publishing industry could lead to new engagement models that might drive revenue.

At thePrintLabs we have been working on digital magazines since the beginning of 2011, accumulating almost 20 months of experience in the publishing industry.

We came up with an editorial project that should be a reference for Authors, Publishers and Journalists under many aspects of the new media. Our plan is to release design and content examples all aiming at user engagement, which is the real driving factor for revenue.

Regardless of the Publishers’  traditional revenue mix, today’s news industry is much more dependent on real user interaction and engagement. Many large Publishers are experimenting good results when putting up paywalls after having done their homeworks on optimizing their distribution platform. We need to pursue this single target.

thePrintLabs iPad App is today available on your iPad with this focus.

The initial release contains a Company Vision brief, together with an excerpt of the “Human and Earth Rights” project. In the next monthly issues a large set of stories on publishing, authors and content economy will be released for free.

Grab your iPad App today and subscribe for free to be sure to receive each issue as soon as it is published.
